In Asteroid Defenders, you take on the life of a soldier destined to DEFEND the earth from the hail of asteroids. Earn experience and level up, keeping yourself alive, but more importantly, PROTECTING HUMANKIND!  

PLAY IN FULLSCREEN MODE FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE! And make sure Hardware Acceleration is enabled in your browser if your game is running slowly :)

• Aim - Mouse  
• Shoot - Left Mouse  
• Game Over Restart - Spacebar  

  

Update Notes: 28/06/2026

• Squashed a bug that would cause the game to render larger than the viewport/surface - meaning people could not see more than half the game screen.
• Squashed a bug that meant the game didn't pause when the upgrade buttons were on screen
• Squashed a bug that caused the asteroid count calculation to return 0.... Consistently
• Squashed a bug in which huge asteroids would spawn with little health
• Implemented new CRT Shader
  
• Added TINY and LARGE Asteroids
• Asteroid HP and Damage are more balanced
• Asteroids now spawn off-screen and float into view
• The left mouse button can now be held to shoot automatically
• Explosion Shockwaves now scale with enemy size
• Upgrades are now unlimited, but have diminishing returns
• Bullets now have a chance to spawn in different colours, affecting the damage you deal, sometimes significantly
